Boston Villa, built in 1863 by stonemason William Candy, fell into disrepair before a 2009 renovation by Emilio Fuscaldo of Nest Architects. A fire during planning led to a near-total rebuild, retaining the front rooms and adding a children’s wing, guest room, cellar, and second story. The new design bridges Victorian and modern elements, with a relocated front door connecting the home’s heart.
